Time: 7.30am, January 25th. As we start the weekend at Amcorp Shopping Mall, at our booth 2.15, we look forward to two great days ahead of us.
We, that is the Batik Influencer, Jeannie; and I, the Hatted Writer; look forward to meeting all our regular friends and customers; and are looking forward to meeting new friends, too.
There will be plenty of stories to tell since the last time we were at Amcorp two weeks ago. Many of them will be the run-up to planning for Chinese New Year (lunar new year), which is next week, January 29th.

The Batik Influencer was kept busy happily entertaining her repeat customers with new designs, limited in numbers. One of them, comes down from Penang whenever she hears we are going to be at Amcorp Mall specifically for the Batik Influencer’s Batik Cape Creations under the JEANNIE’S OWN label. She acquired a couple of pieces. As usual, she was very happy. She said she will be back tomorrow.
The cars, especially those in special sets which are limited collectors items; drew interests from collectors of all ages. The James Bond collection which came in a special windowed front transparent briefcase went to an architect.
The Mercedes Benz 300 SL “Gullwing”, a couple of London taxis, cars with doors hinged the other way, so the doors open from front-to-back, a Shell Lego Formula 1 garage set and lots more to go.
Also on the display table is a gent’s vintage watch (colour golden gold) and a unisex Giordano watch with a black leather strap. For the collector; there are two rare ladies’ Swatch watches, each in a unique bracelet style.
One does need to paint the town red to have a good time over the next couple of weeks. The Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year is in 4 days. Then, there will be 15 days of celebrations. It includes a day when it is everybody’s birthday. How cool is that?
We are looking forward to the New Year cookies. We (the Batik Influencer, Jeannie and I) had a sampling of pineapple tart balls at Minimize in SS14, Subang Jaya. They were really tasty. As people become more and more conscious of eating healthy, the ingredients that go into making all these delicious cookies and food are of good quality. Like these tarts. I thought the blend of the pineapple and the pastry was just right, each not-over powering the taste of the other.
Hopefully, when you come visit us tomorrow, you will bring cookies for us to try…hint, hint..😉😁. You can do the lion dance, if you like. We’ve got the main costume.
