I RUN MY OWN RACE

I am in competition with no one, except myself.
I run my own race.
I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone.
I just aim to improve, to be better than I was before.
That is me, and I am free. Or am I?

NOTES:
This is what I hear from hundreds, if not, thousands of people, on their thoughts on this; the reason they run “their own race”.. It is supposed to be a stress-free lifestyle. Can this be true? Especially in today’s society where competition is mostly the pivoting point on deciding who is the better person.
